This work is part of an ongoing series about the fragile and fugitive nature of our thoughts, especially as we age. The moths represent out dreams, imagination and memories. They arrive unbeckoned and can disappear just as suddenly. Moths are illusive and secretive. Touch them and they turn to dust. Are these particular moths arriving to fire the imagination or escaping as the characters forget? You decide.

The work has been digitally printed using drawings from my sketchbooks in combination with photographs I have taken of my moth collection. The machine quilting is free motion.
