Hidcote Gardens are probably one of the National Trusts most popular places to visit. The gardens provide year round colour and inspiration.
After the schools go back and people begin to batten down the hatches for winter, the gardens begin to quieten down. It’s an ideal time to visit and see the seedheads and skeletons of plants and trees. The colour from the leaves, especially the acers, is superb.
At the moment and until Sunday 29th September 2013, there is a sculpture trail of very affordable pieces, shown dotted through and nestling amongst the flowers and shrubs.
If you feel in need of a quick shot of inspiration, visit a garden and take your camera!!
