Dr Fiona Kerlogue, curator of Anthropology will introduce the museum’s collections, started by Frederick Horniman, a tea trader and philanthropist who began collecting objects, specimens and artefacts in 1860.
We will be looking and discussing the functions, techniques and dyes used in textiles in Thailand with Dr Kerlogue, whose speciality is South East Asia . We will also hear about Dr Kerlogue’s two collecting trips in Lanna (N) and Isan (NE).

Travel

Tube: Jubilee line to North Greenwich station and then the 188 bus to just outside the store (the stop is called Boord Street (MT)) or short walk. Map available.
