Midsomer Quilting (which has no connecton at all to Midsomer Murders so you’ll be quite safe – is near Shepton Mallet in Somerset) TOH artist Alicia Merrett tells me it’s “quite a place” so sounds intriguing. . There’s a couple of telephone numbers at the bottom of the poster – please check details before a long journey!
Alicia has a couple of quilts on show – it’s her local shop – and the exhibition comes highly recommended. AND, we all like a good browse don’t we?

MIDSOMER QUILTING PATCHWORK AND QUILTING EXHIBITION
This amazing quilt shop organises a bi-annual exhibition at RADSTOCK MUSEUM, 10 minutes drive from the shop. It is in Waterloo Road, Radstock, BA3 3EP. The Museum opening hours are 2 – 5 pm Tuesday to Friday, Sundays, and Monday Bank Holidays, and 11 – 5 on Saturdays. Closed on weekday Mondays. Admission £ 5 with discounts for students and seniors, free for children. Coffee shop available. Easy parking on the road or on free car park 2 minutes walk. www.radstockmuseum.co.uk
Midsomer Quilting shop, where you can get free cups of coffee and sit in comfortable sofas (ideal for accompanying husbands) is open Friday to Monday from 10 to 4.30; except on Sundays when it is open from 11 to 4. They will open on other days for visiting groups, by arrangement. The shop is in the grounds of Norton Green Garden Centre, Chilcompton, Somerset, BA3 4RR, about half an hour’s drive south of Bath.
