I have spent the past year living in London immersed in art: I completed a Masters in The History of Art at UCL in September 2014, enjoyed going to many of the Tate’s art events, talks and exhibitions, and running round the city (as well as to Bristol and Scarborough!) reviewing exhibitions for magazines, online platforms and my own blog. Writing for one of my favourite publications, ‘Crafts Magazine: The Magazine for Contemporary Craft’, was a particular highlight. I am now returning to applied arts, which I also pursued during my Art Foundation year before university, to focus on textiles, wearable art and watercolour drawings. My future plans include looking for the right funded PhD in The History of Art, and becoming an art critic and journalist.
